Sungrow Wifi Reconnection
If you upgrade to NBN, change your modem, or update your WiFi password, you’ll need to reconnect your Sungrow inverter to the WiFi. Follow the steps below, and if you run into any issues, feel free to reach out to our support team—we’re here to help!
If you have just moved the modem to a different location, the WiFi strength at the inverter location may have dropped and you may just need a WiFi repeater or extender. The rest of these instructions are probably a waste of time unless you know the WiFi signal is good at the inverter.
Solar Troubleshooting 101: If you haven’t made any changes to your modem or WiFi, try turning off the system for about 5 minutes, then switching it back on. This simple restart often fixes many glitches, including WiFi connection issues, for all types of inverters.

It may be easier to follow written instructions instead of pausing a video so here are the steps to reconnect your Sungrow inverter to your WiFi. Before you start, make sure you have your home WiFi name and password handy.
- Grab a smart device like your phone or a tablet that can connect to your WiFi
- Open the iSolarCloud app on your device and log in using your email and password
- Activate the inverters hotspot WiFi by pressing the button on the dongle at the bottom of the inverter 3 times
- In the iSolarCloud app, click on ‘Support’ at the bottom
- Then click on ‘Local Access’
- Scan the QR code on the dongle to connect to the Sungrow hotspot
- Use Account: user with Password: PW1111 and click ‘Verification’
- Click on ‘more’ on the bottom right
- Then, choose ‘WLAN Configuration.’
- From the list of available networks, select your home WiFi, enter the password, and hit confirm.
- If everything is correct, you’ll see a tick next to your network and a message saying ‘WLAN Login Password Setting Successful.’ Tap ‘Next.’
- The app will confirm ‘the inverter has successfully connected to the home router.’ Simply press ‘Complete’ and you are done.
To check that everything’s working, click ‘Home’ at the bottom left of the app, and you’ll be able to view your system’s data.
