SolarEdge Wifi Reconnection
If you upgrade to NBN or change your modem or wifi password, you will need to reconnect your screenless SolarEdge inverter to your WiFi network. Read on for instructions but if you experience any issues while following these steps, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our support team for assistance.
Solar Troubleshooting 101: if you haven’t made any changes to the modem or wifi, then try shutting down the system for 5 minutes then restarting it. This can resolve many kinds of glitches (such as wifi connections) with all brands of inverters

Watch the video first to understand the process, but it may be easier to follow written instructions instead of pausing a video so here are the steps to reconnect your SolarEdge inverter to your wifi:
- Download the ‘My Solar Edge’ app, if you haven’t already, and login to your account
- Select ‘Inverter communication’ from the menu on the top left
- Scan the QR code on the side of the inverter to connect to the SolarEdge inverter hotspot
- Flick the toggle switch to the left (the red or black switch between the two parts of the inverter)
- Select ‘Configure’.
- Select ‘Connect with WPS’ then press the WPS button on your modem to automatically connect (you are done!) OR
- Choose your home network from the available networks.
- Type your password, then select ‘Join’.
We skipped a few little things so refer to the video if you think you’ve missed something. If this did not work, perform Solar Troubleshooting 101 then reattempt if necessary. Still not connecting? After confirming you have internet access on your wifi network, contact our support team for further assistance.
